Hearing from God

If your life is anything like mine right now, then you probably feel overwhelmed with the things that need done.  Right now our church is in transition of moving into our new facility and everything is chaos.  Literally, my office looks like it has been ransacked by an intruder.  We have so much to do to prepare for our grand opening as well as maintain our normal weekly schedule.  Arrggg…

Usually when we find ourselves in this kind of whirlwind of life, we struggle to hear from God.  It can be easy to miss God in the chaos.  But I have found that what allows me to still hear from God is my personal time with Him in the mornings.  I usually get up before everyone else and spend time reading my Bible and praying or journaling to start my day.  Even when life is extremely busy I have found that I can still hear from God as long as I keep my time with Him consistent.  Many times I wake up I thinking about my schedule and how I really should get working right away.  When I start “missing” my morning time with God, I often struggle to hear from Him.

Are you consistently spending time alone with God?  Do you make God a priority over your list of things you need to accomplish?  If not, you probably will struggle to hear his voice. Remember, he is always speaking to us, we just have to learn how to listen.

    consider this, suppose you wrote a catchier title? I mean, I
    don’t want to tell you how to run your website, but what if you added a headline
    to maybe grab folk’s attention? I mean Hearing from God – Tim Moore is a little boring.
    You ought to look at Yahoo’s home page and see how they create post headlines
    to get people interested. You might add a related video or a related picture or two to get readers interested about
    everything’ve written. In my opinion, it could make your posts a little
    livelier.
