In Ezekiel chapter 40, Ezekiel was given a vision of the temple from God. And God told Ezekiel to pay “attention” to everything he saw and tell his people. The rest of the chapter is spent describing every angle, measurement and part of the temple. God gives him details down the exact dimensions of the walls and even the portico on the outside. It made me think about how God must be into the details.
Sometimes I think we get this idea that God just sits back on some throne in heaven and watches everything that is going on down here on earth. But truthfully, God is into the details. Somehow that reassures me. It’s cool knowing that God cares about the small details that I care about. He’s into the details.
