Daniel in the Lions Den. Most of us have heard the story, but it’s not just a story. It’s an actual event that happened thousands of years ago, and it is still happening, almost every day. Daniel was facing a test.
What do you do when you face a test? Do you cry out to God asking Him to help you through it? The truth is that for many people, prayer has become a last resort. Prayer is not “that thing pastors do” or “that thing you do at church.” Prayer is what enables us to meet with God and have our faith built in His Presence.
In Daniel’s day, a decree was issued that nobody could pray for 30 days. What if our government isssued a degree like this? Would you be glad that you wouldn’t have to feel guilty for not praying?
As Pastor Tim shared in his message, Into the Den, prayer should be a powerful opportunity rather than a painful obligation.
You see, for Daniel, prayer wasn’t an obligation. It was his lifestyle.
