I mentioned earlier that our church has been experiencing some great momentum since our launch in Lithopolis. We continue to see God working in the lives of so many people. But, I have also experienced times when we had little or no momentum as well. So I find myself asking, “What’s the purpose for this momentum?”
In sports, momentum is the key to winning the game. The team with the most momentum usually wins. It can even trump skill. But in our spiritual lives, it seems momentum has a bigger purpose. Momentum is the intangible that propels you to the next level.
In your career that could mean a more advanced position with the company. In education it could be graduate level classes. In the church, it could be effectiveness, leadership, and change.
What is your next level? Not just in your career or in a relationship, but maybe with God. Do you know what the next level looks like? Maybe it is a more consistent walk with Him. Maybe it is stepping up to serve and getting outside your comfort zone. Maybe it is inviting a friend to church with you. If you experience momentum, understand its not just to win one game, but to move you to a whole new level!
