Deep Thoughts

Every have times when deep thoughts enter your head?  I do on occasion.  Here are some running through mine.

  • Should you really keep your fish symbol on your car when you have a DUI plate on it?
  • This warm weather is giving me the itch to golf.
  • This txt series is really helping people engage their Bibles.
  • I need to take my wife out for a date soon.
  • Easter is quickly approaching….yikes!
  • President Obama is in town today.  Weird that it costs us thousands of dollars anytime a president visits.
  • I think some people are trying to think of impossible questions for me to answer next week in our TXT: Q&A message.
  • Did I mention that I want to go golfing?

How about this deep thought by Jack Handy:

A good way to threaten somebody is to light a stick of dynamite. Then you call the guy and hold the burning fuse up to the phone. “Hear that?” you say.  “That’s dynamite, baby.”

I think you should remove your fish from your car if you have dui plates, only if you would go out and chisel that bad boy off after you were angry at your wife, or kicked the dog, or were prideful. I think if grace is good for the unbeliever, it is good for the pew, or the pulpit. We all miss the mark, and I think that’s part of being real. PS: Don’t drink and drive, and for that matter do not drink to excess.
