Love. Sex. Dating. Week 3 – Continuing the Conversation

It’s OK to be SINGLE??!! In Week 3 of our series, Pastor Tim introduced the radical concept that, yes, it’s OK to be Single. That concept goes against everything we have heard for as long as we can remember. The world tells us that if we are not in a relationship that something is wrong with us.

In 1 Corinthians, Paul says that being single can be a gift.

1 Corinthians 7:7  (NLT)
7 “But I wish everyone were single, just as I am. Yet each person has a special gift from God, of one kind or another.”

Are you single right now? Is everyone telling you that you need to be in a relationship? Sometimes being single is a necessary season of your life. It is a season that God has given you as a gift. What will you do with the gift of being single?

Are you single and looking for a relationship? Let it be for the right reasons. If you are looking for a relationship because you feel incomplete without one, you are heading in the wrong direction. We need to look to Jesus to become complete. Whether you eventually marry or choose to stay single, a relationship with Jesus is the only one that will never fail.
