I’m not a fan of N’ sync, but the title fits. This morning I was reading in Galatians for my devotion time and a verse hit me in a new way.
Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. (Galatians 5:25)
It is amazing how easy it can be to get “out of step” with the Holy Spirit. Just miss reading your Bible for a couple days and you can get out of step with Him. Miss a couple Sundays of church and you feel ‘out of step’. It is so easy to get out of sync with what God’s Spirit wants to do in us and through us.
I truly believe that when we are in sync with the Holy Spirit we will see God move in amazing ways through us. I believe that if the church gets N’ sync with what God wants to do…explosive things will happen. But far too often we can find ourselves either one or two steps behind or maybe even a head.
As a leader of a very progressive church, I pray that we can always stay in step. I don’t want to end up stuck in tradition and many steps behind what God is doing today. Nor do I want to run a head of Him and do things on our own.
I want to stay right N’ Sync with Him!
