As many of you may already have heard our Lancaster Campus Pastor Rick Jones’ wife, Fawn, has been diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of abdominal cancer. They are trying to get to a NY hospital to find out what all treatments are possible. She is only 31 years of age, and they have 2 children.
It is so hard to believe this is even a reality to be honest. Our hearts are heavy for Pastor Rick and Fawn, yet we are not defeated. I want to remind everyone that Jesus holds the keys of death. He has defeated death and the grave and in Him we place our hope.
That is why we are inviting the church to join us for a Night of Prayer for Pastor Rick and Fawn tonight at 7pm at our Lithopolis Campus. We are going to worship and stand with them in believing and asking God to do a miracle in Fawn’s body.
So if you know Pastor Rick and Fawn and want to show your support, then join us tonight. We have no idea how many people will be at this service and may easily overrun our facility. So be patient and get there early. We will have a shuttle bus and overflow parking at the old Bay’s IGA parking lot, if we run out of space. We will also have an overflow room setup with a live feed of the service in our ccKids building, if we fill the auditorium.
We will be offering childcare for small children ages 5 and under. If you would be willing to help with childcare during this service, please contact Beth Miller our ccKids Pastor. We will also be taking up a collection to help Pastor Rick and Fawn with all the medical expenses they will be occurring.
Please continue to pray for them as they deal with this disease. The road ahead will be difficult, but we know that our God is with us!
